چکیده
With the growth of commercial building sizes, it is more beneficial to make them “smart” by controlling schedule heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system adaptively. Single-building-based scheduling methods are focused on individual interests usually result in overlapped schedules that can cause voltage deviations their microgrid. This paper proposes a decentralized management framework able minimize total electricity costs microgrid limit deviations. The proposed scheme two-level optimization where lower level ensures thermal comfort inside buildings while upper consider system-wise constraints costs. decentralization maintain privacy buildings. Multiple data-driven models developed compared. effect modeling overall operation coordinated discussed. validated modified IEEE 13-bus with different connected types results show outperforms commonly used controller also greatly affected modeling.

BuildingSherlock: Fault Management Framework for HVAC Systems in Commercial Buildings
HVAC systems constitute ∼ 40% of energy in commercial buildings, and faults in HVAC account for 5% to 20% of its energy consumption. Typically, HVAC in modern buildings are managed using Building Managing Systems (BMS), and fault detection is one of the essential services provided by BMS to keep HVAC operational. We study the fault management practices followed in real commercial buildings, and...
متن کاملDecentralized Optimization for Energy Saving of HVAC Systems
Improving the control strategy of building HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning) systems can lead to significant energy savings while preserving human comfort requirements. This paper formulates the optimization problem to obtain the setpoints of control variables with the lowest HVAC system energy consumption. The optimization problem is nonlinear, strongly coupled, and has both di...
متن کاملEvaluation of Emerging Diagnostic Tools for Commercial Hvac Systems
This paper compares and evaluates the capabilities of six emerging diagnostic tools for commercial HVAC systems. We present a brief description of the diagnostic tools, and then focus on evaluating the features of the tools. We include the following six tools in our analysis: Architectural Energy Corporation’s ENFORMA software, Facility Dynamics Engineering’s Performance And Continuous Re-commi...
متن کاملManaging Commercial HVAC Systems: What do Building Operators Really Need?
Buildings form an essential part of modern life; people spend a significant amount of their time in them, and they consume large amounts of energy. A variety of systems provide services such as lighting, air conditioning and security which are managed using Building Management Systems (BMS) by building operators. To better understand the capability of current BMS and characterize common practic...
متن کاملDecentralized prognosis of fuzzy discrete-event systems
This paper gives a decentralized approach to the problem of failure prognosis in the framework of fuzzy discrete event systems (FDES). A notion of co-predictability is formalized for decentralized prognosis of FDESs, where several local agents with fuzzy observability rather than crisp observability are used in the prognosis task. An FDES is said to be co-predictable if each faulty event can be...
